We’re all naturally curious people, it’s part of what draws us to this industry. Our monthly programs and other special events teach us things we never knew, or refresh our memories about things we used to know.
Professional Growth and Development
Continuous learning is critical in our profession, and what better way to do that than to exchange ideas with your colleagues? Within our industry in WNC, Asheville’s ad club is THE place to participate in the free exchange of ideas, networking opportunities, the chance to serve on a committee and get involved in many different programs.
Recognizing Excellence
For years we’ve taken our creative efforts to Greenville or other ad club venues because we had no award program. Now we do. The ADDY® Awards are our industry’s Oscars, and our local competition next February will showcase WNC’s best and brightest. Winners will proceed to regional competition, with the chance to go to national. We have the talent among us; all we needed was the program.
Leadership Development
Serve on a committee, become a committee chair, consider joining the Board of Directors, start your own initiative with help from other members. There are also great opportunities to serve at the district level. All these things develop leaders. Are you one? Get involved and find out.
